  I'm afraid this didn't work at all for me. Although there was a Valentine's Day card on the floor, I got no real sense of this being about what love means. I have to say it felt more like an means of showcasing a few crafted put-downs from the mouths of a couple of unpleasant characters about whom we care nothing. I think giving either or both characters something we can warm to might help, and I would also take the narrative elsewhere - perhaps something more comedic.
